CitiQuiet - Interior Noise Elimination Window Systems
CitiQuiet interior windows are effective at reducing most urban noise, including sirens, car alarms and ambient traffic. It is less effective at reducing low frequency noise such as boom cars and motorcycles. The level of noise reduction is relative to location, building construction, and noise sources.
The window glass is made from lexan, a thermoplastic. It works by creating a barrier of dead air between the outer and interior window space. Installation takes about an hour.
If you use a window air conditioner in warmer months, you may have to decide how much noise reduction relative to air cooling you need. You can use the air conditioner for a few hours to cool the room and then fully close the interior window. The windows are excellent at preventing drafts so the room can stay cooler for a longer time.
You also lose the sounds of nature but it may prove to be an acceptable tradeoff to the noise and stress. The cost of the windows ranges in price from $1,500 - $2,000 per window, including the cost of installation. NoiseOFF Recommended.
