Vapiano, a restaurant in lower Manhattan, installed a towering and noisy Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) affecting neighbors who live nearby. Despite violations from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the noise continues. The neighbors organized and got their story covered.

That seems both illegal and disrespectful. You would think they would have built those on the roof and not in the alleyway. With such a big structure, wouldn't that have required a building permit to construct? I don't see how they're getting away with something like this.
Garth - Does Filtrete or other furnace filter companies make a filter that absorbs noise?

If your HVAC noise so much then why don't you call the service provider to check out the problem of noising. They have to fix your problem because you the customer who buys the HVAC.
