I have moved 5 times in the last 15 years solely to get away from noise.
At 66, I've moved dozens of times in my adult life, most often to get away from dogs/music.
After living in quiet for two years now a developer moved in close by, way out in the country, and no it's very bad here also.
This country "cares less" about the noise so many people are forced to put up with.
They like it noisy now and "on-the-go." I have noticed that their dog's barking/aggression appears to make stupid people feel important. Maybe this is why there's a gabbing TV everywhere you go now, including colleges, banks, and medical offices.
