Richard Tur, Founder
Based in Queens, New York, Mr. Tur is a web design consultant. He founded NoiseOFF in 2004 and is building a citizens coalition with the goal of reducing noise pollution. Previously, he has worked as a senior account executive at a top five public relations and marketing firm.
Eduardo Bonsi
A fine artist and multimedia director by profession, Mr. Bonsi began working on noise pollution issues in 1995, because of increasing noise problems from boom cars, car alarms and loud motorcycles. He has challenged the City of San Francisco for its lack of noise abatement in the operation of its public transportation system. He has launched SoundPollution.org and currenly plans to educate others on the social and health consquences of noise pollution in schools.
Arline L. Bronzaft, Ph.D.
Professor Emerita, City University of New York. Dr. Bronzaft is an expert witness and consultant in environmental psychology. Member, Council on the Environment of New York City, chairs noise committee. She researches, writes, lectures and advises anti-noise groups internationally on the effects of noise on mental and physical well-being.
Ron Czapala
A retired systems engineer and programmer in Louisville, Kentucky with 29 years in Information Technology. He created the NoBoomers.com site to help combat the boom car noise pollution problem in his community. He continues to lobby city council representatives to ensure enforcement of local noise ordinances.
Judy Ellis
A retired paralegal living in St. Petersburg, Florida, Ms. Ellis has spent more than twenty years in corporate law firms in New York and Florida. Previously, she was an assistant editor at a New York publishing house and a high school teacher. She is a volunteer at the St. Petersburg Police Department and a local clinic specializing in legal aid to the elderly. She is a long-time activist working to reduce the blight of boom cars in her community.
Mark Huber
A citizen advocate on quiet communities in Richmond, Virginia since 1997. Mr. Huber has researched medical journals, historical and religious writings, poetry and fiction gleaning scientific and historical information about quiet and noise and their impact on humans, communities and societies. Mr. Huber has testified before local and state regarding the issue of noise. His testimony led to the withdrawal of a business seeking the re-zoning of land for a granite quarry.
Jeff McCulley
A veteran motorcycle mechanic and author of "Loud Motorcycles". Mr. McCulley is an activist engaged in the fight to abate motorcycle noise in his state of Pennsylvania and throughout the nation. He is working on additional articles relevant to motorcycle noise and the industry.
